Discipleship Training School

This 6 month training program is designed to help students grow in their relationship with God, and develop their Christian character.  On the beautiful island of Tonga students have an opportunity to build strong friendships with other students and staff as they journey together to Know God and Make Him Known.

Our Discipleship Training Schools have different themes, but they all use the same DTS curriculum used by DTS schools all over the world.  During the 3 month lecture phase students learn from International speakers topics such as the Father heart of God; Evangelism; Hearing Gods voice; Faith and Finances; and Worship and Spiritual Warfare.

After the lecture phase students are commissioned to go as a team to an outreach location.  During this 2-3 month Outreach Phase students have opportunities to share the gospel and serve people in foreign countries!

Discipleship Bible School

The Discipleship Bible School (DBS) equips students with tools for lifelong Bible study through classroom teaching, small groups, personal study, and practical application. Building on the foundation of the Discipleship Training School (DTS), it helps students deepen their knowledge of God’s nature, grow in community, and learn to use Scripture effectively in ministry. The program emphasizes personal discipleship, godly character, and cultivating a love for the Word.
Over 12 weeks, students read the entire Bible while tracing God’s story from beginning to end. They study each book in its historical and cultural context, learn how the books connect together, and recognize the different literary styles and themes across Scripture. This process reveals the unified message of the Bible and helps students fall in love with its Author while strengthening the foundations of their faith.
The DBS also connects biblical study to real-life application. As students explore themes like leadership, worship, missions, and worldview within the books they study, they gain fresh insight into God’s purposes. This prepares them to share their faith with confidence, disciple others with accuracy, and live out the truth of Scripture both inside and outside the classroom through discussions, mentoring, evangelism, and mercy ministry.

Testimony from Maia                in New Zealand

Ever since I went to Tonga and left, a piece of my heart remains there. A part of God’s heart and character is represented so beautifully through their dance and singing, I’ve never experienced anything quite like it before! The first time I was there teaching B.E.L.T as a part of my BSN school, I had a deep sense I would return. Funny enough, I did! I had the opportunity to staff a DTS and lead a team back to Tonga. I have learned so much from the island culture, and it truly has inspired me in missions. I will always remember my time there, such a special place.
