University of the Nations
YWAM Tonga
To Know God and Make Him Known
Our Vision Statement
Youth With A Mission Tonga is a campus of the University of the Nations. We are committed to training and sending young people to the nations as missionaries, and also equipping people to effectively serve in the spheres of society.

YWAM Tonga was first established in 1966.
Our campus here at University of the Nations Tonga was officially opened by His Majesty King Taufa’ahau Tupou IV in 1993.
His Majesty was inspired after visiting the University of the Nations campus in Kona, Hawaii. Therefore he asked Loren Cunningham, the founder of Youth With A Mission, to bring YWAM missionaries to Tonga and create a similar University of the Nations Campus to serve and to train young people in Tonga.

D.T.S. is YWAM’s entry-level school.

About Our Campus
Our spacious and beautiful 50 acre campus is situated in the Tongan countryside. Visitors always declare how peaceful the campus is, with many beautiful places to sit and spend time with God.
Our campus features 14 small student houses; as well as 8 staff/family houses; a large kitchen and dining hall; 2 classrooms; a library; a central office; and a chapel where we worship.
We use approximately 20 acres of the campus’ rich farmland for raising animals (cows, chickens, and pigs) as well as growing vegetables and Tongan root crops.
This healthy farm-grown produce supplements our kitchen meals. All of our staff and students eat healthy meals from the abundant provision of God through our farm projects.
